Max Bill is the artist who has had the greatest artistic influence on Bombelli since they met in the early 1940s in Switzerland. He was also his mentor as an organiser of exhibitions in the concrete field, which Bombelli tried to spread in Italy at the end of the 1940s, as he would do years later at Galeria Cadaqués. It is for all these reasons that Bombelli decided to exhibit Max Bill’s work and to dedicate the Cadaqués Porfolio Four to him as a tribute.

On the occasion of Bill’s exhibition, Konstruktion aus drei gleichen platten, a stainless steel manifold, was published in an edition of 7 copies.
