marcel duchamp

21.07 – 02.08.1978

In order to hold the first exhibition of Marcel Duchamp in Spain, Bombelli contacted his widow, Teeny Duchamp, who was a friend of Richard Hamilton’s and still spent the summer in Cadaqués.

She herself and other owners donated works by the artist for this exhibition, which included La Boîte en Valise, Green Box, the silkscreen Flattering Hearts, Delux View with Pharmacie… as well as some Hamilton editions.

On the occasion of the exhibition, the poster Reminder (Don’t forget Marcel Duchamp), provided by Hamilton, was published, reproducing a post-it note that Duchamp humorously sent to Hamilton.
